Testing your knee with the KT-2000
Sometimes surgeons use a special type of instrument, called the KT-2000
arthrometer, to help them tell if the ACL has been torn. This device is
designed to both measure the amount of looseness from front-to-back in
the knee and indicate how tight the knee is after surgery. This device
can sometimes be very useful because it can compare the relative amount
of looseness in the injured knee with the normal knee in the same patient.
